Why We Built This

The Maltese property market has long struggled with ghost listings, unresponsive agents, and unlicensed intermediaries. We believe you deserve to know exactly who you're dealing with — before you share your personal details or schedule a viewing.

Our 3-Level Trust System

Level 1: Registered

No badge

The agent has created an account on HomeLink. At this stage no verification has been performed — they are a standard user. We display no trust badge.

Level 2: Licensed

Licensed

The agent has uploaded their official Real Estate Intermediary Card issued by the Maltese government, along with their license number and ID card number. Our team has manually cross-referenced these documents against the official government registry to confirm:

  • The license number is valid and matches a registered intermediary
  • The license has not expired or been suspended (licenses are valid for 5 years)
  • The ID card number matches the license holder

Level 3: Trusted

Trusted

Beyond holding a valid license, a Trusted agent has demonstrated an excellent track record on our platform:

  • 90%+ response rate — they reply to inquiries promptly and consistently
  • Zero ghost listing reports — every listing is real, available, and accurately represented

How Verification Works

1. Submit Documents

Agents upload a photo of their Real Estate Intermediary Card, their license number, and their ID card number via their dashboard.

2. Manual Review

Our team cross-references the submitted documents against the official Maltese Real Estate Register to confirm validity.

3. Badge Awarded

Once verified, the agent receives a Licensed badge visible on their profile and listings. Maintaining high standards earns the Trusted badge.

Something Doesn't Look Right?

If you believe a listing is fake, misleading, or an agent is not who they claim to be, please report it. We investigate every report and may revoke verification badges if our standards are not met.
